Embossing Powders are used on various greeting cards, scrapbooks, mixed media projects, and stationery labels to add a little sparkle. Use with Wow! Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink Pad for a perfect embossed result!

Wow! Embossing Powders are currently available in three grades of powder, which determines the size of the powder granule. The three grades are known as:

  • Super Fine - fine powder that shows up all the details so it works well for detail work. It can give a halo effect if you heat set the image without brushing off the powder.
  • Regular - an all-purpose grade - have a bit more height to the Super Fine grade but overall doesn’t have much difference from the Super Fine grade. There’s no halo effect on this grade.
  • Ultra-High - the largest granule powders among the three grades. Ideal for thick layers or triple embossing. It will cover up all the details and you can see a thick embossed layered over the image.

Wow! powders are manufactured to have different properties; either a translucent or white raw material. The different bases have different properties which make it possible to achieve all the wonderful effects.

Translucent ( T ) – These powders will allow light through them and so the colour under them will affect the finished result.

Opaque ( O ) – These powders will not let light through and so when embossing they will not be affected by the colour under them.

Marbling ( M ) – These powders have a white base and so when moulding the white will appear producing some fantastic marble effects

Mixture (X) –  These products are blends of any Regular, Super Fine or Ultra High powder.
