Everyone needs a hug, but sometimes we are not always there to give a physical warm hug. Send some love with this sweet flora themed card to a loved one today! Eloise used the same Marianne Designs Tiny Chrysanthemum’s stamp set from before to create a card with a different theme. Last time, she made a Mother’s Day card, whereas this time she’ll be creating a basic ‘Hugs’ themed card that you can use for many occasions and also, this card design is super easy to replicate!
To begin her card today, Eloise started off with a piece of white cardstock, and used the base leaf and flower images from the set as well as some Lawn Fawn Inks in Ballet Slippers, Peachy Keen, Peach Fuzz and Minty Fresh and stamped down all the images over the background. Once the background was completely stamped, Eloise took some gold spray and flicked it over the background. She then used her heat tool and dried the background completely.
Next, Eloise took the Hugs Die from My Favorite Things and die cut it directly from the middle of my panel. She made sure to keep the positive pieces too since she wanted to pop them up also. Once it was die cut, Eloise flipped over her panel and added thin strips of adhesive around the back of the ‘Hugs’ word, then adhered a piece of cardstock on the back. Then, she flipped the panel over the right way, added strips of foam tape inside of the letters, removed the backers and adhered the die cut letters directly over top. For an additional sentiment, Eloise used the ‘From The Heart’ stamp set and pulled the ‘Sending Some’ sentiment and white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock. She then foam mounted that over the ‘Hugs’ sentiment and the card was complete!
