APRIL! Already? Where has the time gone? Today Samantha is sharing a few cards she created! These cards were intended to be mother’s day (which is fast approaching!) themed cards but they could suit a few other occasions as well. She didn’t feel like colouring when she created these cards – so Samantha chose to ‘paper piece’ instead. She loved the look of pattern paper on Kraft card – Samantha chose light ‘earthy’ pattern paper with a geometric and floral element in them. She kind of wanted to go for a quilted look…

Samantha also created two additional cards – keeping to the same theme and technique as the first. She’s lucky to have a Silhouette machine that she used to cut out a few of the more detailed images – but good sharp scissors were also used and though it was a little time consuming most of the cutting was done while watching her favourite T.V show. Samantha also added Lawn Fawns – Stitched Circles to create a ‘hill’ scene in one of the cards.

Check out how she does it in the video tutorial below!

Home is where you hang your heart… Indeed. As many of us have moved out of homes and into our own nests, we wonder if you get a sense of nostalgia or love every time you return to your childhood home? Where mum’s opened arms will always be
