Today Jo thought she would show you how the Lawn Fawn Yeti ink looks on Kraft coloured cardstock. She had repeat stamped the large floral image from the stampset several tines in random order. Even though this is rather subtle it is just another nice way to have created your own “pattern paper”. This is great for maximizing your supplies with minimal effort.
Jo has found that having the Lawn Fawn Yeti ink is a ‘must have’ in her ink collection. She loves using her white ink in a variety of ways. In her video tutorial for today’s card she had used this ink to make the WOW Embossing Powder which has an iridescent glitter throughout and it stands out a little more instead of having used a clear sticky ink such as a versamark. This was a way for the opaqueness of the white ink to make the glitter stand out the little more.
To add a pop of colour Jo used Distress Oxide inks and created her own “coloured cardstock ” as she had generously applied the Distress Oxide ink on white cardstock with a blending tool. In hindsight she could have just swiped the ink pad directly on the cardstock…. a mental note for herself (and us!) for next time. Do you have those moments where you realize after the fact there could have been an easier way. Yep that was one of those moments for Jo here!
Once the distress oxide ink had dried she ran through the Sizzix Bigshot with the Lawn Fawn Mini Pop Up Butterflies dies to cut out these bold butterflies.
Jo then layered the butterflies that are the same sizes doubling up to add another element to these which she had placed randomly on the card. The single butterflies that she had remaining she placed on the inside of the card.
